Happily Ever After: Brittany & Logan. Irmo, SC. Irmo Wedding Photographer

Here is another beautiful wedding for you today from a chilly day back in January…

Brittany decided to incorporate the winter theme into every aspect of her wedding day. From the ice blue bridesmaids dresses, to the snowflake accents, ice sculpture, flower choices and the fun surprise of a snow machine to greet guests at the reception…..she truly didn’t miss a beat in turning her and Logan’s special day into a total winter wonderland. This day was so much fun to be part of and I had the treat of knowing MANY of the guests in attendance. It always makes my job extra special when I am surrounded by familiar faces and I get to enjoy the evening with them. It also doesn’t hurt when the bride and groom are SOOOOO excited to marry one another and the happiness just oozes off of them. I don’t think the two of them ever stopped smiling……precious to watch!

Enjoy some of my favorites from Brittany and Logan’s special winter-themed wedding day:)

Happily Ever After: Erin & Kent. Washington, DC New Years Eve. Washington Wedding Photographer

To say that the blog has taken a backseat would be the understatement of the century. Growing a baby is no easy business and I have been SO busy this season that posting images to my facebook fan page has been about the best I could do. I am feeling REALLY good and as things start to slow down just a bit in anticipation of our little mans arrival, I have made it my priority to get all caught up here. I have some BEAUTIFUL weddings to share…..so here we go….

Lets back all the way up to New Years Eve….yes, that is how behind I am:) I was so excited when Erin and Kent contacted me wanting me to document their wedding in Washington, DC. They had several friends who had used me in the past so I was familiar with their sweet faces. It is always so much fun to work with couples that you know, not to mention getting to step out of my normal routine and hop on a plane to one of the best cities….well, lets just say they didn’t have to twist my arm to tight:)

Erin and Kent’s wedding day was an intimate affair with their closest family and friends. We hopped all around the city: getting ready at Erin’s apartment and then Kent’s hotel, the beautiful ceremony in Arlington, pictures at Georgetown University and Canal Square on the Potomac where Kent proposed and finally rounding out the day at Landini Brothers Restaurant in Old Town Alexandria. It is safe to say that I saw almost the whole city in an eight hour span. SO MUCH FUN!

I had the best time documenting this day and spending time with such a precious couple. I think the images speak for themselves….enjoy!

Happily Ever After: Alison & Chris. The Dairy Barn, Fort Mill, SC. Fort Mill Wedding Photographer

Another beautiful wedding to share with you today from back in 2011!

Alison and Chris were married at the Fort Mill Dairy Barn on a beautiful day in November. The weather was perfect and the gathering of friends and family made this day wonderful from start to finish. Both Alison and Chris were so excited to marry one another and the two of them were calm as cucumbers throughout the day. I don’t think there was a minute of the day where they were both not smiling. SOO sweet!

Alison chose to incorporate dark pink and brown as the color theme while using some vintage inspired details such as wine cork table markers, an old shutter for displaying the guest place cards and rustic lanterns adorned with candles for the centerpieces. The Dairy Barn is such a stunning setting to begin with that her simple elegance transpired into the details of the day kept the focus on the bigger picture.

I have truly LOVED getting to know this couple and knew that documenting their wedding day would be such a blast. I was not let down one bit! Enjoy some of my favorites from their beautiful November wedding and don’t forget to view more by watching the slideshow below!

Special thanks to Jonah and his crew with Split Second Sound. You guys always keep the dance floor hopping and make my job that much more fun:)

Happily Ever After: Caroline & Harris. Alhambra Hall, Charleston SC. South Carolina Wedding Photographer

Well this post has been a LONG time coming. With my first trimester setting me back in my blogging….I am taking the next couple of weeks to play catch-up. My goodness do I have some BEAUTIFUL weddings to share with you. First, let me back up to November for Caroline and Harris’s sweet southern soiree.

The day was really cold and windy but that didnt stop Caroline and Harris from having one of the most memorable weddings of my year. Filled with sweet southern accents, Caroline really wanted to make sure that their day was a complete reflection of the two of them. Adluh grits guest favors, Carolina vs. Clemson cocktails, signature cotton blossoms and the navy and white theme made their day unique and special. The folks over at The Wedding Row just LUURRVVVED this wedding and decided to published the details a few weeks back. You can take a peek at that here!

On top of this day being sweet in every way, it was sentimental for me too. Caroline and I danced together in high school and our families go WAY back. It was so neat to be part of such a full circle moment and see this precious girl marry her Prince Charming!

Enjoy some of my favorites from Caroline and Harris’s Charleston wedding and dont forget to watch the slideshow at the end:)

Special thanks to Melanie with By Invitation Only event planning for keeping the day running smoothly and providing top-notch service to your client and their vendors. You rock girl:)

Personal: Expanding….literally!

Yep, that’s right, the Alexanders are expanding….literally!

I have said that the blog has been in serious backup mode and now maybe you can see that it is for good reason. This first trimester has been a pretty tough one and I am finally on the upward swing of feeling more like myself. It has been challenging (to say the least) keeping up with life in general in between frequent trips to the bathroom. Growing a baby is no easy business and can wipe you out in a hurry. Praise God for anti-nausea drugs and the support of an amazing hubby and son. I seriously COULD NOT do it without my boys.

We are so excited about our little one and we are so thankful that God has trusted us yet again with one of His children. We cannot wait to see who our little one will become and how it will change our family in all the best ways. Big brother Charlie is already busting at the seams and cannot wait to help his little “bruda” or “sissy.”

We thank you in advance for your support and prayers for our family. We cannot wait to introduce you to our newest LAP associate:)
